Reflection on Trimester 1

 Stretch your wallet

What I liked: I enjoyed learning about how to budget and about income because this knowledge will help a lot in the future.

What I didn't like: I didn't like how some tasks/assessments that were assigned to us we hadn't been told to do.

What could be improved: Not too much maybe there could be more cooking sessions per week.

Tech Challenge

What I liked: I got to learn about how to code for the first time on scratch.

What I didn't like: Nothing much, I really enjoyed this class.

What could be improved: I really like the class so it doesn't need to be improved.

Making a Difference

What I liked: Literally nothing, Just liked Mr Mckay.

Learning 2021

This year I've completed most of my work and I'm ahead of all of my classes which is very good for me. I have been working at least level 5  relational in all of my classes. And I'm gradually improving my studying / working skills overtime. This is one of the assignments I was assessed that I'm proud of and I think have done very well in.

PREP Week 9 - Reflection

Throughout the trimester Connor and I have been working well together and we have made many Christmas trees and are ready to sell our product. At the moment we just need to plan out how we will set up our stall. We have worked together well because we have taught each other efficient ways to make things easier while working in the woodwork room and have communicated and helped each other well.

We would often have trouble when we were making our trees while we were putting the nail in the driftwood. It would snap too often so we overcame this difficulty by using smaller nails and not putting so much pressure onto the hammer and driftwood.

Mr Venter showed us that using the anvil was useful when hammering the nails and was much easier. This meant that we could get through much more Christmas trees in a day.

Next week we will need our Christmas trees, the wire and the items we will need for our stall.

PREP Week 8 - Reflection

 Week 8 Reflection

Today we have used our time efficiently as we have made multiple Christmas trees today in the wood workroom. Our biggest achievement of today were the new designs we have been using for our Christmas trees. We have also been getting better at making the trees look better and make them faster. Aiden and Jack have been making face masks with pieces of cloth and using sewing machines. I think this is a really cool product design and will sell well on market day. Next week we need to have enough of our product to sell on market day which will be coming up in two weeks so we must be prepared.

PREP Week 7 - Reflection

Today we have used our time really well and have spent block 1 and 2 in the woodworking room making more Christmas tree ornaments and little Christmas trees. We have started making our market day posters that we will start putting up to advertise our product. Our biggest achievement today has been making all the new trees for our product which we are really proud of. I think Jack, Aiden and Jordan are making a cool product because they are making masks for covid. I think these will sell because they are cool looking and they are also going to be making coasters which will sell well. By next week Connor and I need to have made enough of our product to be able to sell on market day.

PREP Reflection Week 3

 PREP Reflection

Today we have been working on our timetable and what resources we will need for our product. I will be in charge of getting the driftwood down at the beach and Connor will be getting the wires. Next week we are looking to go into the tech room to start making a start on our design. Today we found it difficult figuring out where we were going to get our driftwood because there are many places. But we have decided we will find the most in town.
